I watched the few pictures of the new metro project in awe. With its interior organic design and sine-waved exterior it makes me think of a spaceship from another world, like those we see in the SF movies.
This endeavour envisages 6 metro lines to be built in the capital city, Riyadh. Their length vary from 22 to 45 km.
The large scale of this project is no surprise coming from the Arab world and from one of the richest country of the Middle East. It's almost as if '1001 nights' scenes are coming to life in modern version, where creativity, luxury and lavish lifestyle shape the face of earth where few years back was only desert.
